Is it ok to workout in makeup?
You may have heard that you should not wear makeup while working out because it causes breakouts. Yes, wearing makeup during exercise can increase your chances of acne and blemishes because your skin expels toxins as you sweat and clogs your pores.
Clogged pores lead to acne and acne can lead to a lot of money, sadness, and time trying to get clear skin. But, it is one thing to go to a gym and not feel confident about your body. And, it is something entirely different not to feel confident about your face as well. This is a problem. I hope this post will give you some possible best gym makeup products that may provide solutions for you.
What makeup should I wear during a workout?
It is best to wear makeup that is lightweight, simple, and basic regarding your overall look while exercising. Therefore, you may want to wear to select makeup that will provide you with spot-correction and a bit of color like a tinted lip balm. Enhancing your natural glow as you improve your health can make you feel more comfortable during exercise and even more willing to exercise consistently. If you feel good about yourself, you may be more apt to invite others to join you, to make consistent posts on social media. Before, you know it, you may start exercising more regularly
What is the truth about makeup, clogged pores, and exercise?
Taylor Babaian, is a celebrity makeup artist and triathlete. According to Babaian, “Whatever cosmetics you have on, they can combine with the sweat and contribute to a breeding ground for bacteria.” I think anyone who prefers to wear makeup, and especially during workouts must properly clean their skin regularly to avoid clogged pores and breakouts.
Babaian recommends that you have a cleansing face scrub or face wash in your gym bag so that you may use it soon after a workout. If you have sensitive skin, she recommends using an oil-based cleanser or a gentle cream twice a day. Remember to use a mild exfoliator with enzymes and warm water. A gentle splash of water when washing your face looks nice on a commercial. But, a facecloth or washcloth can clear dead skin cells, makeup, and debris from your pores. Keep these things in mind as you care for your body and a beautiful face.
The Best Workout Makeup List?
I am not a professional makeup artist, but I am a wife, a mom of six, and a certified personal trainer who loves the girly-girly-look.
I started wearing makeup as a teenager who ran track and played fast-pitted softball, and I have worn makeup while being very active. I have found that mineral-based makeups work really well for me. I personally think that it is hard to go wrong with any mineral-based makeup at the gym or during exercise in general. But, I love BareMinerals product line because of how natural my face looks and how light my makeup feels.
Also, BareMinerals Product Line is…
…non-toxic, cruelty-free, and completely clean without compromise. Their mineral foundations are paraben-free. I am thankful that I found a sweat-proof makeup.
And, if interested, BareMinerals has confirmed it does not test their products or ingredients on animals. They do not allow others to test on their behalf neither do their suppliers’ tests on animals. Additionally, they do not sell their products in mainland China, where it is required by law to test on animals.
With these things said, BareMinerals is not all vegan. Some of their products contain carmine, beeswax, lanolin, or other animal-derived ingredients or by-products.
But, I can send you a list of BareMinerals vegan products. Simply, give me your name and email address and I will send you a list of these products straight away. You will also be on my email list and I will send you inspiration and information to help you on your fitness journey.
